ExperienceThe tutor's most important job is to broaden the student's imagination. The tutor/student relationship offers the opportunity for both to venture deeper into the learning process, and I take this responsibility seriously. My tutoring work began in high school. I had the opportunity to work as a peer tutor with my fellow students. I spent my free study periods in department offices helping students on a drop-in basis. I got to work with various subject matter and support lots of students in their school assignments and projects. After high school, I decided to continue my studies in the sciences. I earned my Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto in Chemical Engineering. I am a passionate educator and advocate of science and math. Specifically, my scientific and professional interests center around cell biology, bioinformatics, and engineering. Through firsthand experience as a student, tutor, and professional, I know how textbook theory translates directly into the real world. Our efforts in the classroom give us practical skills for life. As an engineer, I am grateful for my education and apply it daily. I hope to share my appreciation for formal education and its practical application to life with my students.
